The Young Healthย Programmeย (YHP) is an initiative of AstraZeneca that welcomes applications from young leaders from all around the world who want to work for health equity and climate change. The Impact Fellowship is conducted in collaboration with AstraZeneca’s Young Health Programme which forms an integral part of AstraZeneca’s sustainability initiative, mainly in healthcare.ย ย Each year, this health fellowship selects aspiring leaders who strive to enhanceย equitableย health outcomes by improving access to healthcare, strengthening health systems, addressing climate-health issues, and nurturing the next generation of health advocates.     Eligibility Criteria for Young Healthย Programmeย Impact Fellowship 2026:ย 

    • Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old to be eligible for the AstraZenecaย fellowship.ย 
    • The YHP fellowship is open to citizens of all countries from around the world.ย 
    • While most delegates fall within the 18-30 age range, the selection committee may consider applications from individuals over 30, if theyย demonstrateย personal impact and a willingness to engage.ย

    • Fellows must be able to fullyย participateย in the One Young World Summit (OYW) that will take place between 02-07 November 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.ย 
    • Selected applicants must also actively engage in both the YHP Impact Fellowship and Failure to do so may end the fellowship benefits.ย 
    • In addition, YHP Fellows should be willing to share insights and collaborate on action commitments, build partnerships, and serve as ambassadors for AstraZeneca’s health equity and YHP initiatives asย appropriate.ย 
    • To be eligible for the Young Healthย Programmeย Impact Fellowship, access to the internet and a compatible device is necessary toย participateย in live online fellowship sessions.ย 
    • Applicant must be a founder or leader of any registered non-profit organization that meets the specific criteria:ย 
    • Must be registered and operational for at least 3 years.ย 
    • To receive a $10,000 grant, the income in the lastย financial yearย should be more than USD$10,000 and less than USD$1,000,000.ย 
    • To receive a $50,000 grant, the income in the lastย financial yearย should be more than USD$100,000 and less than USD$2,000,000.ย 
    • Organizations must be ‘funding ready’ which means they must be able to provideย appropriate documentation.ย 
    • It must beย operatingย in any underserved community.ย 
    • Applicant must propose a 6 to 12 monthsย project.ย

    Benefits of YHP Impact Fellowshipย Programmeย 2026:ย

    • This program includes participation in an online mini-MBA program accredited by a university, with 12 months of access to materials andย additionalย opportunities for development.ย 
    • Selectedย fellowย will get a grant of either US $10,000 or US $50,000 (if they will be selected as the Lead2030 Challenge winner for SDG3) from AstraZeneca, through their non-profit organization.ย 
    • Fellows will receive a fully funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.ย 
    • They will also receive round-trip air travel from their home country to Cape Town, with flights arranged by the OYW delegate services team (economy class only).ย 
    • Moreover, the fellowship also covers accommodation in South Africa, with shared hotel rooms.ย 
    • It also includes catering services, including meals throughout the summit duration.ย 
    • The program will also provide reimbursement of travel expenses used while travelling to and from the summit.ย

    • It covers transportation from the airport to the hotel by public transport upon arrival.ย
