The UN Fellowship Programme 2024 is an initiative of the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. The main aim of this law fellowship is to facilitate qualified individuals, particularly government officials and teachers specializing in international law, from developing nations and nations with emerging economies. The United Nations Law Fellowship offers a comprehensive training program led by scholars and practitioners in the field of international law. The interactive nature of this UN fellowship encourages participants to engage in discussions and share their experiences. Hence, you must apply before the deadline.

In addition, the United Nations International Law Fellowship Programme (ILFP) will select up to 20 qualified participants from developing and emerging nations. This UN Law Fellowship will take place at The Hague Academy of International Law from 1 July to 2 August 2024. Hence, will have the opportunity to study in Netherlands. Moreover, this fellowship by United Nations includes an annual summer course at the Peace Palace in The Hague, interactive seminars and discussions. Each participant receives a comprehensive collection of training materials at the start of the fellowship programme in 2024. All UN fellows will also receive certificates upon successful completion of the International Law Fellowship. Therefore, the UN Law Fellowship Programme 2024 is a unique opportunity for qualified law candidates to become a United Nations Fellow and deepen their knowledge of international law and receive high-quality training.

Similarly, this legal fellowship programme provides generous financial coverage, including travel costs in economy class, accommodation and medical insurance, participation in the Fellowship Programme, and registration fees for the international law session at The Hague Academy of International Law. It also covers the costs of training materials. In addition, qualified candidates also have the option to apply for self-funded positions, where they are responsible for covering all associated costs. However, training materials are provided to all self-funded participants at no additional cost.     • How to apply for the United Nations International Law Fellowship Programme?
    • To apply, all applicants must visit the official application portal and download the application form.
    • Applicants should fill out the application form in English, typewritten.
    • Additional pages can be attached if needed to provide further information. It is important to avoid submitting incomplete applications, as they will be ineligible.
    • Moreover, the “Letter of Transmission” must be filled out and signed by a senior official from the institution endorsing the candidate’s application.
    • Candidates whose native language or language of instruction is not English must provide evidence of their English proficiency to apply for the UN Law Fellowship Programme.
    • Completed applications should be submitted via email.
    • Applicants must provide two versions of the application form. One scanned copy of the signed original document (in PDF or JPG format) and one electronic version in MS Word format.
    • Similarly, all fellows must submit their complete application before the deadline.
