The Green Web Foundation is currently in search of five individuals with expertise in the fields of digital rights and climate justice who are eager to foster connections between these two important movements. Moreover, the Green Web Fellowship initiative is built upon the insights and possibilities identified through the collaborative efforts of the Green Screen coalition and the comprehensive analysis it conducted regarding the intersection of digital rights and climate justice. Accepted fellows of this fully funded international fellowship will receive support through a peer-learning initiative and will undertake a community-oriented project for advancing both digital rights and climate justice cause. Additionally, this fellowship is entirely online, allowing individuals from around the globe to apply and participate. Therefore, you must apply for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a part of the Green Web fellowship program in 2023-24.

In addition, regular weekly meetings of the fellowship are conducted via video conferencing, thus requiring a reliable internet connection and proficient English language skills, both written and spoken. However, the organization is aware of potential language barriers and is actively exploring the possibility of expanding language options in the future. Furthermore, Participants in the fellowship program will allocate half a day each week to advance their project within the fellowship. During weekly cohort meetings, they will engage in collective learning, benefiting from both peer insights and expertise shared by practitioners in the respective domains. Hence, fellows will have to contribute to monthly blog posts documenting their journey and will present their projects to a broader audience during mid-term and end-term presentations. Responsibilities of Global Web Remote Fellows

  • All fellows must commit 5 hours per week over a 6-month period to their fellowship responsibilities.
  • They should create and execute a project during their fellowship that actively contributes to the causes of digital rights and climate justice.
  • Green Web fellows must also engage in weekly cohort calls and independently pursue learning opportunities, all while documenting their experiences openly.
  • Lastly, they must provide monthly blog posts that detail their journey and share insights gained during the fellowship experience.
