Young people from all over the world can now apply for a fully funded ticket to attend the Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition event in Milan, Italy!
The special event “Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition” will take place before the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26) of the UNFCCC, which will take place from 1 to 12 November 2021 in Glasgow, UK. As part of the pre-COP26 to COP26 events taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, the Milan pre-COP is convened by the Government of Italy to provide young delegates with the opportunity to present ideas and proposals on urgent issues of the climate agenda.
The first two days of Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition will be for working groups, while the last day will feature a debate between the young delegates and the Ministers attending Pre-COP26.
Experienced young climate leaders are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to be one of two young people representing their country in Milan. Young people with creative communication skills and digital storytelling experience are invited to participate in the #SumItUp competition, where a winner will be chosen to travel to Milan and participate in Youth4Climate.
Convened by the Government of Italy and building on the success of the 2019 UN Youth Climate Summit, the contest will take place from 28 to 30 September and will provide young delegates with an unprecedented opportunity to present ideas and concrete proposals on some of the most topical topics on the climate agenda. The first two days will be dedicated to the working groups, while the last day will feature a discussion between the young delegates and the Ministers who attended before COP 26.
