Applications for Czech Republic Government Scholarships 2023-24 are open now. International Students who want to pursue Master’s and Doctoral studies can apply for this program. The Government of the Czech Republic yearly awards international scholarships within its Foreign Development Cooperation. This is an excellent opportunity for students of developing countries who want to study at the public universities of the Czech Republic. It is a good opportunity for international students to pursue postgraduate education in a European country.

Furthermore, students can select to study in Czech and English language. Government Scholarship is awarded on merit basis. They will update the list of available courses according to the demand of the specific countries as well as concerning underway development cooperation projects. Moreover, students will receive funding for a one-year-long language and preparatory course. Scholarships for study programs in the English language are offered only in the few selected study fields.

    Czech Republic Government Scholarships 2023-24 provides the following benefits:

    • The scholarship provides the essential studying and accommodation costs in the Czech Republic.
    • It provides CZK 14,000 per month stipend.
    • Scholarship holders of this program should cover their food, accommodation, and public transport costs, similar to students who are citizens of the Czech Republic.
    • Travelling costs for the Czech Republic and back to the student’s home country shall be covered by the party who selected the student or by the foreign national at their own cost.

    • First, applicants will have to go through a selection process consisting of a 30-minute knowledge test followed by a 60-minute English language test.
    • Applicants will provide a cover letter (max 1000 characters) explaining why they want to study in the Czech Republic and how they will use the knowledge in the country of origin.
    • Applicants with the best scores will advance to the second round.
    • Apply by following the instructions on the online application website.
    • Applications submitted after the deadline will face rejection.
