Young people that want to make a difference! The UN Secretary-Envoy General’s on Youth is seeking the next young leader. They are on the lookout for in search of the next generation of leaders for the sake of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A society in which every young person’s human rights are respected, every young person is empowered to reach their full potential; and in which young people’s agency, resilience, and constructive contributions as change agents are recognized.
Every two years, 17 outstanding young leaders from various industries are honored for their initiative, courage, and resourcefulness in developing long-term solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. 17 young leaders will engage other young people for the 2030 Agenda through their existing activities platforms and networks, and advocacy opportunities with the UN and its partners for their two-year tenure. Being recognized as a young leader by the United Nations is an honor.
