Applications for the USAID-funded Youth Advisory Group are now open. YouthPower2 is offering paid opportunities for the youth. The YP2 team is seeking motivated and active young leaders; interested in strengthening the youth and engaging them in programs and research that will help solve challenges. 

The Youthpower2 learning and Evaluation is a USAID-funded project that focuses on building and distributing confirmations on youth development. Besides, the YP2LE currently has more than 13,000 global members. This program aims to give researchers and change-makers the tools they require for bringing change. Youth will be provided with information tools, research tools, and resources to develop high-quality programs for the youth. Young people can also check other paid opportunities offered for the youth on our website.

Duration of Program:

Members must have a commitment to work for 18 months online (work virtually), from May 2022 to October 2022. Members must complete a monthly timesheet and invoice provided by the YP2 team.     Here are the eligibility criteria to apply for the youth advisory group 2022:

    • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 30 at the time of application.
    • Applicant must be an active member of local, regional or global youth-led, serving group or organization etc.
    • The organization applicant has worked with must be focused on addressing development challenges.
    • Applicants must have a good grip on written and verbal communication.
    • Applicants must have decision-making skills.
    • Moreover, they must have knowledge and experience in these areas.
    • Applicants must be good at working with team members from diverse backgrounds.
    • Applicants must have knowledge of working online on Google, Zoom or other relevant online working platforms.

    Here are the benefits of applying for the USAID YouthPower2: Learning and Evaluation Youth Advisory Group:

    • The Youth power 2 will pay the members at an hourly rate of USD 15.00. 
    • They will pay the members for up to 16 hours per month. 
    • Members will get an opportunity to lead the youth and get trained as youth leaders.
    • In addition to the exposure, they will also get an opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds.

    Objectives of the YAG members:

    The youth Advisory Group consists of five young leaders who play a significant role in supporting the project and its priorities. The YP2 expertise manages and plans the activities and projects. The YAG members will engage in the following activities:

    • Advising on the youth engagement for YP2LE: Key questions, challenges and approaches must be generated. This includes; engaging in research, leadership and mentorship activities and building stronger processes for the youth. 
    • Advising and supporting knowledge and capacity building for the USAID staff: YAG members are expected to take part in advising on the implementation of training designed to enhance the skills of the USAID staff to engage effectively with the younger generation. Members need to contribute to training and work as co-facilitator. 
    • Advising youth and outreaching the youth members: members must include content and material that would support the needs of the youth from around the globe. The resources should be available and accessible to young people, particularly LAC, Asia, MENA, and Eastern Europe. 
    • YAG members must advise the YP2LE on resources, services and opportunities available for the youth in different regions.
    • In other words, youth must engage in events of YP2LE; in addition, they may also represent the YAG in events.
