The Global Solutions Summit brings the next generation of problem solvers from around the world to Berlin to contribute their points of view and ideas.
They know that young people are dedicated, passionate and essential to shaping a better future. Therefore, in 2017, the Global Solutions Initiative launched the Young Global Changers (YGC) program to attract students and young professionals who are passionate about changing the world for the better. Every year they gather their knowledge and skills to innovate and implement new solutions that can face the challenges of today and the challenges of the future. YGC strives for diversity: in its first year it received 100 participants from 100 different countries. In the future, YGC will become a permanent global network as part of the Global Solutions Initiative (GSI).
Selected applicants will get free access to Global Solutions Summit 2019 and will participate in a three-day summer school. They will participate in conferences, workshops and discussions with people with experience in the academic world, journalism, business, politics and civil society. Participants will also be able to attend talks and discussions at the summit and will be intensely involved with the content and ideas that are being discussed. Under the guidance of experienced journalists, the results and stories of the Global Solutions Summit will be communicated to the world.
