World Bank Youth Summit Competition 2022 – Fully Funded

The World Bank Youth Summit Competition 2022 is open for applications. The Youth Summit pitch competition aims to attract innovative and interactive youth who are motivated and eager to share problem-solving ideas.

Pitches must be based on three pillars of development, i.e., social, environmental and economic development. Make sure your project continues to “unlock the power of inclusion for equitable growth.” 

The pitch that will encourage any of the following will be preferred:

  • Social Inclusion: equitable growth (Education, Health, Gender, Social Safety)
  • Environmental Inclusion: climate change Mitigation, Adaptation, Climate Smart Technologies 
  • Economic Inclusion: access to financial Services, Financial Decision-Making, sustainable Livelihoods and employment, Private Capital Mobilization

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Here are the eligibility criteria for the World Bank Youth Summit Competition 2022:

    • Participants must belong to any country that is a World Bank member. 
    • Both individuals and teams can apply for the competition.
    • The team may not be of more than four members.
    • Participants may be from age 18 to 35. 
    • Participants can be students or work anywhere.
    • The competition requires no previous work experience in any field. 
    • Teams that have diverse members or have balanced gender division will be preferred (Not necessary).

    Application Process:

    • The application process for the world bank youth summit competition is online.
    • Applicants must submit their application forms along with their pitch deck before the deadline. 
    • The pitch deck must be submitted in PDF form and must not exceed 10MBs.
    • Pitch decks can be submitted through the application form.
    • You can download the Pitch Deck Template.
    • Step 1- watch a webinar for submitting applications and pitching information. 
    • Step 2- submit your proposal. The expert jury will do the evaluation. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by early April. 
    • Step 3-(April) shortlisted candidates/teams will receive feedback on their pitch and will have to follow the further steps of submitting information or distill their pitch deck.
    • Step 4-(May) the finalists will have to join the WBG 2022 youth Summit in Washington DC’s world bank headquarters. Applicants/teams will receive the travel guidelines and timings from the World Bank. 
    • The deadline to apply for the World Bank Youth Summit Competition is March 4, 2022.
