The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) – comprising the H.E.J. The Institute of Chemical Research and the Dr Panjwani Molecular and Drugs Research Center in Karachi, Pakistan, and TWAS offer graduate fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (apart from Pakistan) who wish to conduct research to obtain a PhD in the following fields: Organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular medicine, pharmacology, physical chemistry or analytical chemistry.
The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) is one of the leading research centers in the developing world. Its reputation for scientific research and training extends far beyond the country’s borders. The UCBS grew out of generous support from the private sector, and was supported by government grants. In the last 51 years, Pakistan has gained great recognition, as well as training thousands of young national and foreign researchers in border areas of science and technology.
TWAS: the World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries: works to support sustainable prosperity through research, education, politics and diplomacy. TWAS is a world science academy based in Trieste, Italy.
Applicants are recommended to request the preliminary acceptance letter as soon as possible, even before the opening date of the call for the postgraduate scholarship. Bearing in mind that only acceptance letters with the same date as the year of the application are eligible.
