Therefore, acting as another incentive to participate in the Johns Hopkins Healthcare  Competition in 2024. In addition, the final round of the international event will be virtual and take place on 13 April 2024. As part of the design competition, candidates will have to submit a two-page proposal (design brief) of their design project. This will be evaluated on four key content criteria including, solution concept, problem description, and reduction to practice and the pathway to implementation.

    Eligibility Criteria for Johns Hopkins Healthcare Design Competition 2024:

    • The healthcare design competition is open to student-led teams that have a solution related to healthcare.
    • People from any country and any nationality can apply for this contest.
    • Eligible full-time students include those pursuing undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees (e.g., MBA, MD, etc.).
    • To be eligible for the contest by Johns Hopkins, project teams should consist of more than one full-time student.
    • The project should focus on a healthcare application within one of the four specified tracks, mentioned above.
    • Moreover, the project must have started after 1 January 2022.
    • The project must also be led by full-time students. Postdoctoral research projects are not eligible to apply for the Johns Hopkins Healthcare Design Competition.
    • Similarly, projects that have extensively utilized funding greater than $100,000 are ineligible for application.
    • Projects that are not led by full-time students, such as those managed by startup companies or faculty, are also ineligible.
    • In addition, applicants are allowed to submit multiple unique projects for consideration.
