The applications are now open for Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship 2020 you can study free in Indonesia
The Indonesian Art and Culture Scholarship (IACS) program has been carried out since 2003 and was initially offered and participated by the member countries of the Southwest Pacific Dialogue (SwPD).
Taking into account the importance and advantages obtained from the program, the scholarship was extended over the years to include member countries of many countries in all regions of the world. In the period from 2003 to 2019, the scholarship was awarded to 920 students from 77 countries.
Due to the limited space and a large amount of interest in the program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, in cooperation with Indonesian embassies and consulates abroad, carries out a series of the selection process. Among others, the antecedents of the winners, gender, regional representation and interest in learning Indonesian culture are taken into account.
The program is not an undergraduate and will last three months. During the program, the winners will be divided equally into 6 (six) groups, where each group will be placed by the organizing committee in different art centers located in 6 (six) provinces, namely: Bali; Western Sumatra; East Kalimantan; East Java; South Sulawesi and Yogyakarta.
The winners will live in or near the arts center, allowing the opportunity to experience local heritage and interact with the local community. The synergy between theory and shared practices inside and outside the arts center would undoubtedly become the driving force to shape international cultures and norms, and eventually strengthen regional and global understanding and cooperation at the person level.
