Future News Worldwide is a partnership program between the British Council and some of the world’s leading media organizations. The goal is to support young people to develop a wide range of journalistic skills and to establish the United Kingdom as a world leader in the care of young journalists and media figures. Identify, train and connect the next generation of global journalists.
Future News Worldwide 2020 will take place from July 14 to 15, 2020 at Sky’s global headquarters in London, United Kingdom. The conference is free for selected applicants and travel and accommodation expenses will be covered. It offers aspiring young journalists opportunities to develop practical and editorial skills and listen directly to some of the world’s leading industry leaders, with a mix of lectures, interactive panel sessions, workshops and practical experiences. After the 2020 Future News Worldwide conference, delegates will be part of a worldwide network of alumni throughout the year, helping them to interact with each other, implement their learning and continue their professional development.
At the conference, 100 of the world’s most talented, motivated and passionate student journalists will attend an intensive media training program. They will receive exclusive training from world-leading publishers, broadcasters, writers and reporters, and see how publishers around the world are using technology to find stories and bring them to life as never before.
