The main goal of this EU4Ocean Summer School on Ocean Literacy & Collaboration is to build essential skills and foster collaborative approaches in the designing and implementation of ocean-related projects. This 2025 EU4Ocean Summer School is the fourth edition of the summer school. The international training program will take place in Venice, Italy. The duration of the international summer program is 5 days, from 29 June 2025 to 04 July 2025. The summer training school will specifically focus on the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea and highlight the nature-based solution as the main theme. During this European summer program, participants will explore Venice and the charm and history of Italy.
The EU4Ocean Summer School 2025 in Italy is open to students and early-career professionals from different universities & institutions from both EU & non-EU countries. The EU4Ocean program in Venice will select 20 students for the intensive training. Selected participants will be empowered and equipped to create and lead a cultural shift in ocean science, promoting transdisciplinary inclusion, equity, international cooperation, and diverse knowledge systems. The summer program is a fully funded summer school. The fully funded training program will include accommodation, meals, and airfare travel. During this summer school in Italy, students will have a unique platform to connect with other fellows.
