    Eligibility Criteria :

    Before starting the application, students interested in applying for the Commonwealth Shared scholarships shall check the criteria and requirements below. The eligibility criteria are listed below.

    Eligibility Criteria for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2024:

    • Applicants must be citizens of the commonwealth countries stated above, British-protected people, or refugees of an eligible commonwealth country.
    • Students must be permanent residents of one of the eligible countries.

    Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2024 is a fully funded scholarship for international students in UK. Hence, it will cover all costs related to studying and living in the UK for the scholarship duration. Following is the list of benefits offered under the Commonwealth scholarship.

    Benefits of Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2024:

    • Return airfare travelling cost for the scholars at the end of the award.
    • Full tuition fee coverage by CSC and participating universities.
    • Monthly living allowance for all selected applicants. All scholars will get a stipend of £1,347 per month, and those scholars whose universities are in the London metropolitan area will get a stipend of £1,652 per month.
    • Warm clothing allowance in some cases where applicable.
    • The university will pay a thesis grant to prepare the thesis or dissertation.
    • Excess baggage allowance.
    • Study travel grants and expenses related to study within the UK or overseas will also be covered.
    • Reimbursement of Tuberculosis test (if required for visa).
    • Child allowance will be provided monthly if the applicant is widowed, single parent or divorced.
    • Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are jointly funded by the CSC and participating UK universities.
    • Disabled scholars will get a full assessment of their needs, and the CSC will also offer some additional financial support.
    • The CSC scholarship 2024-25 will also provide a family allowance for the cost of maintaining a Scholar’s family in the UK.

    Requirements for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2024:

    • Proof of refugee status or citizenship. Copy of Passport or NID with a complete picture and personal details
    • All Educational Transcripts in English.
    • All the undergraduate and postgraduate university qualifications certificates.
    • Enlist up to 10 research publications, prizes and awards.
    • Details of past employment and how it relates to your undertaken program in the UK.
    • Three references with their name and ranks. One must be a current employer (submit referee details on the online system).
    • A development impact statement. Provide a Development Impact statement with four different parts. The first part will explain the national, local or global development issues and relate them to your CSC theme. The second part should explain how you will apply your new skills after your scholarship ends. In the third portion, you will explain what changes you expect in development terms because of your scholarship. In the last and fourth part, you will tell the impact of your work and some personal information.
    • Other supporting documents are required by the department or University of your choice.

    CSC Shared Scholarship Selection Criteria:

    Every participating UK university will have its own recruitment process to select the applicants to be awarded the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships and forward these applicants to the CSC. The CSC will then confirm that these applicants meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship programme.

    Applications will be selected according to the following selection criteria:

    • Academic merit
    • Quality of research proposal
    • Potential impact on the development of the candidate’s home country
