Applications are open for the YSI Innovation Program 2019 in Norway Program in Norway. The objective of the program is that you and your team create a new real company that helps to solve the sustainable development objectives and is economically viable. Brilliant individuals are placed in international teams of 3 people and will go through 4 modules and 8 objectives in five months. 4.5 months are online and the last two weeks are in Oslo, Norway, where you get a fully funded trip to meet with mentors, teammates, and investors.

The program offers knowledge and tools in innovation, creativity, and leadership. The teams are trained to operate their own startup, in addition to going from nothing to a full startup in 5 months. YSI provides close mentoring and follows up through its innovation team, access to YSI’s network of talents, partners, and mentors. They also train the team to find the necessary information and help they need for themselves. The program will be provided online, mainly through an educational platform called www.novoed.com.

Where do you want us to send you new opportunities?

Application Process:

YSI’s global program receives around 10,000 applicants per year, and only accepts 25 people. The reason for this is that they believe in focusing on some new companies, as it would drain our resources to absorb many more. That is why they intend to expand the program to other regions, led by people from these regions, but more on this on some other time.
Applicants must go through 4 rounds to enter the program, and they do a great job to make sure that we select the right people. It is not about selecting the best people, but rather establishing teams that we believe are the best together. They will not delve into the application process and the criteria since this cancels the purpose of having it in the first place (since people will begin to respond to what they think we want to hear, which we do not always know).
