Resources: learning platform with interactively chosen content, libraries full of easy-to-find tools, methods and knowledge. You also get tools that we do ourselves and advice and knowledge about the road.
Mentors: provide mentors who are experts in entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, leadership and technology.
Network: Your growing network of partners and companies will help you find the right people to talk to when necessary.
Money: your job is to help you take it to a product or service that can be taken further, and we offer you MVP money and prototypes. You can request money internally at YSI, and within 24 hours we will respond: either you receive it or we give you some advice to work.
Community: As YSI has had many applicants over the years, they started a grassroots community movement called Entrepreneur. Here you will find motivated and talented young people from around 170 countries who help each other.
YSI’s global program receives around 10,000 applicants per year, and only accepts 25 people. The reason for this is that they believe in focusing on some new companies, as it would drain our resources to absorb many more. That is why they intend to expand the program to other regions, led by people from these regions, but more on this on some other time.
Applicants must go through 4 rounds to enter the program, and they do a great job to make sure that we select the right people. It is not about selecting the best people, but rather establishing teams that we believe are the best together. They will not delve into the application process and the criteria since this cancels the purpose of having it in the first place (since people will begin to respond to what they think we want to hear, which we do not always know). You will find information on the FAQ section on the official website.
