UNDP’s ’16 x 16′ Initiative 2019

UNDP’s:

Apply to Participate in UNDP’s ‘16 x 16’ Initiative 2019. With the ‘16 x 16’ Initiative, the target is to determine, acknowledge and help 16 youth-led organisations, actions, and networks who contribute to the implementation of SDG16 and who advocate for the wants and aspirations of younger individuals in SDG evaluation and follow-up processes.

More particularly, the ’16 x 16′ Initiative goals to:

  • Recognize and make seen younger individuals’ management, company and constructive position in the context of SDG16, together with by supporting their participation in the SDG16 Preparatory Conference in Rome in May 2019;
  • Expand present and open new channels for participation in SDG implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, with a give attention to SDG16 and associated frameworks; and,
  • Support the event of youth-inclusive and co-created steering and codification of data, to strengthen coverage and programming and obtain higher collective affect.

    • Applicants should be younger as per the definition of their nation/territory;
    • Should lead a proper or casual youth-led organisation, motion and community;
    • Have ongoing expertise advancing SDG16 on the native, nationwide or regional stage;
    • Have good communication abilities;
    • Be in contributing to the follow-up on SDG16 and to SDG16-related initiatives and the broader 2030 Agenda.

    • If chosen, as a ’16 x 16’ participant, you may be a part of a complete programme of actions led by UNDP in collaboration with UN and different companions, as a part of formal and casual SDG16-related processes and implementation;
    • You will take part in a one-day assembly prior to the SDG16 Preparatory Conference in Rome (May 2019);
    • Contribute to a youth weblog collection on peaceable, simply and inclusive societies;
    • Provide insights, steering and proposals to practitioners to strengthen youth-led programming;
    • Might be engaged in UN conferences and actions -including the SDG16 Preparatory Conference, the HLPF, the SDG Summit;
    • The ’16 x 16’ contributors will collaborate on a voluntary foundation; prices for travels shall be lined for particular occasions, as related and in line with UNDP’s guidelines and pointers.
