iEARN-Pakistan in collaboration with American University is in the process of selecting dynamic Pakistani female students to participate in the US Summer Sister Exchange Program. UU. 2020

The US Summer Sisters Exchange Program UU. It offers high school women the opportunity to attend pre-university summer programs at prestigious American universities. The exchange is now part of the “Let Girls Learn” initiative, funded by the US Department of State. UU. And it is managed by a consortium of partners, including American University, iEARN and the Society for International Education.

The Summer Sisters Summer Exchange Program of the USA UU. Encourages gifted high school students to imagine more for their future by allowing them to study science, leadership, international affairs, among other topics, in US universities. UU. Thanks to the generous support of the US State Department. UU., The US Embassy UU. In Pakistan and academic partners, Summer Sisters participants have developed leadership skills, gained confidence to invest in their future and served as cultural ambassadors in the United States.

In recent years, our academic partners were American University, Babson College, Barnard College, Brown University, Duke University, Eleanor Roosevelt Center, Harvard University, George Washington University, Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University, National Student Leadership Conference, Syracuse University, Smith College, University of Chicago and University of Washington. The US Summer Sisters Exchange Program In the eighth year, it will recruit 16 dynamic young people, who will go through a rigorous selection process carried out by the Society for International Education and the American University.

The scholarship winners will live and study in these universities. In addition, they will develop their leadership skills, form lasting friendships and learn how to become entrepreneurs or how to start a career in business, science or international relations.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Eligibility criteria for the U.S Summer Sisters Exchange Program

    • The woman currently enrolled in high school/university (grades 10, 11, 12 and 13)
    • Pakistani citizen (US citizens are not eligible)
    • From 16 to 18 years old on June 1, 2020 (Date of birth between June 1, 2002 and June 1, 2004)
    • she has excellent oral and written English language skills
    • Complete an application with all required documents
    • A general minimum grade of 70% in all subjects in all basic subjects during the last three years
    • It must come from families with moderate to low incomes

    Able to request and secure a passport or already has one that is valid for a minimum of one year

    she has only Pakistani nationality

    With sufficient confidence and agree to travel and return from the United States independently

    Benefits :

    All travel, academic and living expenses will be paid by the US Summer Sister Exchange Program USA.

    Upon arrival in the United States, students will receive mentors and connect to university resources. Upon returning home,

    students will be linked to resources in Pakistan, including the exchange network of students from the US Embassy.
