Applications for Scottish Government Scholarships 2022-23 are now open. If you are a graduate student and looking for the best place for your master’s, then these scholarships are just for you! Scottish government offers a scholarship program called ‘Saltire Scholarship.’  This scholarship program is offered in collaboration with various universities in Scotland in various fields of creative industries, Science, Technology, medical sciences, and clean and renewable energy.

The Scottish Government Scholarship is an amazing opportunity to study at world-class universities. Scotland’s Government offers master’s scholarships in various fields of science, medicine, technology, creative industries, etc. All selected applicants will be admitted to different universities in Scotland. Applicants with aspirations of becoming ‘influential leaders’ and having a wide range of interests in other academic fields to broaden their horizons’ are preferred.

Saltire Scholarship is limited to just 50 applicants. Each applicant will receive a scholarship grant of 8000 Euros for about one year of the master’s degree. During your stay at the university, you will be able to access laboratories and access international classrooms and enjoy the new on-campus experience. Moreover, as a Saltire Scholar, you will be acting as an ambassador for both the Saltire Scholarship program and for Scotland as well.

    Here are the eligibility criteria for the Scottish Government Scholarship:

    • Applicants must belong to one of the mentioned eligible countries.
    • Students must pay the remaining expenses apart from the tuition fee.
    • They must receive a conditional or unconditional offer letter from any Scottish University.
    • The applicant must not have studied in Scotland before.
    • Applicants must fulfill the language prerequisite of the course.
    • Students must not have been the awardee of the Saltire Scholarship before.

    Application Process:

    There are various steps to follow while applying for this scholarship program.

    • First of all, select the university from among the number of universities and degree programs in which you wish to complete your master’s.
    • After you have selected a university and degree program, you need to apply for the acceptance letter from that university.
    • If you receive the acceptance letter, either conditional or unconditional, then you have secured your place!
    • Another way is to apply directly through an official online portal. The link for the official online portal is given below. You can apply before the deadline of 31 May 2022.
