Rotary Global Grants 2019- Funds up to $200,000

The Rotary Global Grants large international activities with measurable and sustainable results in the areas of focus of Rotary. By working together to respond to the real needs of the community, clubs and districts strengthen their global partnerships.

Global grants support international activities within the areas of Rotary focus:

Humanitarian projects provide sustainable and measurable results that address the real needs of the community.
Vocational training develops skills within a community through specific educational programs or by supporting teams of professionals traveling abroad to develop their own capacity or the capacity of the community they visit. Learn more about professional training equipment.
The scholarships fund an international postgraduate study conducted by people seeking a career within an area of focus. Read the Global Grant Grant Supplement for more information.
Districts must qualify to receive funds from the Rotary Foundation. Clubs that want to apply for global grants must also be qualified.

The qualification process helps ensure that districts or clubs understand their financial responsibilities, including administration, and are prepared to assume them. The qualification must be completed every year.

Qualified District

Qualifying is simple. The district governor, the governor-elect, and the president of the candidate’s Rotary Foundation must:

Read the district’s memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the grant application tool, answer a series of questions and accept the MOU
Conduct subsidy management seminars for clubs.
Candidates can return to review the document and the additional content provided as often as they wish. And candidates can also set additional qualification requirements for clubs.

Qualified club

If a candidate’s club wishes to apply for global grants, its president and president-elect must:

According to the club rating MOU.
Send at least one club member to a grant management seminar held by your district
Complete any additional steps that your district requires
The candidate club must qualify each year if it plans to apply for global grants

    THE CANDIDATE PROJECT SHOULD:

    Benefits :

    The minimum budget for a global grant project is $ 30,000.
    The Foundation’s Global Fund provides a minimum of $ 15,000 and a maximum of $ 200,000.
    Clubs and districts contribute funds designated by the district (DDF) and / or cash contributions that the Global Fund matches.
    DDF equals 100 percent and cash equals 50 percent.
    Global grants can finance:

    Humanitarian projects
    Scholarships for postgraduate academic studies.

    Application Process:

    Consult with local experts at the beginning of the planning process to create a solid project plan and a global grant application. The district’s resource network can help.

    To be approved, the candidate’s application must clearly describe how their project, grant or vocational training team:

    It is sustainable, including plans for long-term success after funds from the global grant have been spent
    Includes measurable goals.
    Aligns with one of the areas of focus of Rotary
    It responds to the real needs of the community: as of July 1, any club or district that requests a global grant to support a humanitarian project or a professional training team must first conduct a community assessment and include the results in their application. grant.
    Actively involve Rotarians and members of the community.
    Meets the eligibility requirements in the terms and conditions of the grant.
    Applications are accepted throughout the year and are reviewed as they are received.

    Sponsoring clubs and districts must submit their applications by June 30 to the Rotary Foundation for scholars who will begin studies in August, September or October.
