“Plant Trees, not Plastics” Photo and Video Competition 2021

Photo and Video competition

Plant Trees, Not Plastics Photo and Video competition is launched by the World Bank’s Eastern and South Africa Region to tackle the devastating climatic and soil condition in Africa. Africa’s land is subject to soil erosion, salinization, pollution, and loss of soil fertility, affecting Africa’s ecosystem.

Therefore, the World Bank’s group of Climate Change Action Plan has decided that for the next 5 years, 35% of the finance will be directly contributed to climate change. Hence, they came up with this competition comprising a one-minute-long video or a series of pictures (three pictures maximum) with texts that help to explain the devastating effect of plastics on the ecosystem and the environment.
