Maastricht University Scholarship 2023 in Netherlands

Maastricht University is offering a master’s scholarship that will cover tuition fees and provide a monthly stipend to international students. Students from non-EU countries registered for an eligible master’s program at the university can apply.

MU offers two types of scholarships; the university itself funds one. The other is the Holland Scholarship, funded by the Dutch government (by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science) in partnership with dutch higher education institutes and universities of applied sciences. The duration for a one-year master’s program is 13 months, and for a 2-year master’s program, the duration is 25 months. Maastricht University welcomes all international students from outside the European Union to apply for the Maastricht University Scholarship in the Netherlands.

Fully funded scholarships in the Netherlands aims to aid international students with a chance to pursue a master’s degree program in the Netherlands. It also aims to promote better relations by welcoming international students. However, the Netherlands scholarships are highly competitive; only 2% of applicants are selected for the scholarships. Furthermore, students must be in the top 5% of the applicant by means of transcripts and meet other requirements to have more chances of selection. But students shall not be discouraged; they must apply for the scholarship in Europe before the deadline ends.

Maastricht University is a public-based institute in the Netherlands with 19,000 students in total; 54% of students enrolled there are international students. It is ranked as the 88th best university, according to the Times Higher Education World Ranking and the 4th youngest university.     Eligibility Criteria for the Maastricht University Scholarship:

    • Students must register for one of the scholarship-eligible master’s programs at Maastricht University. Students can check the official website for details to register for the course.
    • Students must receive a conditional offer of admission to the master’s program.
    • After applying through Studielink, you will receive a student ID number. That student ID will be used to complete the scholarship application.
    • Log in to the UM account and fill out the scholarship application form.
      Upload the documents in .doc, .docx or PDF format, and submit your application for the holland scholarship.
