The foundation supports projects for the implementation of social policies at a global or local level.

Applications are evaluated on the basis of the trustee’s evaluation of criteria such as: feasibility, applicability, originality, methodology, theoretical or empirically rich research, and letters of recommendation. No specific weight is assigned to a single zone. Proposals are evaluated on the overall merit of all aspects of the application.

    • Applicants must be current PhD candidates (or DrPH) working on their thesis;
    • Applicants must not have a PhD; those who do are not eligible;
    • Applicants must have defended their thesis proposal or have had their topic approved by their department;
    • Applicants can be from any country and from any university in the world. US citizenship or residency is not required.

    Benefits :

    • Grants are based solely on merit. Each has a total value of $ 7,500; $ 5,000 is awarded initially and $ 2,500 upon project completion.
    • In order for grant recipients to be eligible for their second installment, they must show evidence of one of the following:
    • Acceptance and approval of your dissertation;
    • Acceptance of an article based on research from a peer-reviewed journal; or
    • Invitation to write and publish a research-based book chapter.
    • Grants are non-renewable and grantees have five years from the announcement of the award to complete their project and claim their final payment.

    Additional Information:

    • All applications must be submitted through the application portal;
    • All forms and documents must be in English;
    • Incomplete applications will not be considered;
    • Applications cannot be submitted without letters of recommendation;
    • Letters of recommendation must be specific to the applicant’s project;
    • The award winners will be announced at the end of May;
