The application for Haiti International Summer Camp 2019 is an international event organized by the Youth and Perspectives Foundation in collaboration with several local and international partners. The first edition of the annual meeting is scheduled from August 12 to 16, 2019 in the city of Cap-Haitian, the second largest city in Haiti.
The event coincides with the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the city of Cap Haitien, the tourist capital of Haiti on the theme “the future belongs to a committed young man.” This is the main event for young Haitians, and for young people and students from all over the world. world.
We believe that young people are active agents in the promotion of global citizenship with their creativity and potential to achieve changes in society by taking measures to solve the biggest challenges and problems in the world.
Participants of Haiti International Summer Camp 2019 will be able to experience various cultures of Haiti, especially the North. The city of Cap-Haitian is a tourist destination that offers not only magnificent landscapes, tourist sites such as the Sans-Souci palace, the citadel and vestiges that attest to a distant past, but also preserve its freshness, without forgetting local cuisine and abundance of culture.
Traditions inherited from generation to generation, which constitute their local wisdom. It is important to bear in mind that HISC 2019 is expected to receive more than 300 young people and students from more than 50 countries around the world will participate.
It will be an immersive and attractive experience, for five (5) days, young professionals, entrepreneurs and students of different profiles coming from all the departments of the country and several countries will share their Cap-Haitian views as leaders in their respective fields.
The objective of the Haiti International Summer Camp 2019 is to strengthen the links between young people from Haiti and young people from around the world. The themes of the camp are entrepreneurship,citizen participation, climate change, tourism, peace, justice, development, migration, international and intellectual cooperation.
The event will also promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations through the various activities planned before, during and after the event. This event will represent a global platform for dialogue and will include debates, cultural programs, sports and social activities.
