Global Welcome Scholarship in England 2022-23

The Kent School of Law is offering scholarships for international students. The Global Welcome Scholarship is open for international students who study LLM at the University of Kent, Canterbury campus. Students from any country that receives Official Development Assistance (ODA) are welcome to apply. Full-time LLM students of the Canterbury campus can avail this excellent opportunity of receiving a stipend from the University of Kent. Some eligible countries include Thailand, Nigeria, Kenya, Brazil, China, Turkey, etc.

Moreover, the students receive a scholarship stipend of 2,500 euros. The amount will be given in a single installment in the second term of the program.

The Kent Law School is England’s top law school currently. The school has a unique approach to teaching law in addition to the context of society. It is recognized for its research teachings and Law clinic. The Kent law school is home to many international students with its intellectually stimulating environment.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Here are the eligibility criteria for the scholarship in England:

    • Applicants must hold a legal/valid passport.
    • The student must be from a country receiving ODA funding from the OECD. The list of OECD countries is available on the OECD official website.
    • The University of Kent should label the student as an overseas tuition fee payer.
    • Students must be studying self-funding.
    • Students should apply for admission at Kent LLM at the Canterbury campus of the University of Kent.
    • In addition, they should receive a letter of acceptance for the LLM course before the scholarship application deadline.
    • Applicants cannot avail any other scholarship with this award.
    • Students receiving any scholarship or award in Law, Society and Social justice cannot apply for this one.
    • Moreover, students who have graduated from the University of Kent are eligible for this upon meeting the eligibility criteria.
    • Further, if any student wants to continue their studies after the original period of degree will be provided a scholarship only for the initial period. The scholarship is not extendable.

    • Firstly, students must apply for regular admission at the University of Kent.
    • Applicants can apply for the scholarship through KentVision.
    • Applications will open in due course.
    • Students can take part either in September batch 2022 or in January 2023.
    • They must meet all the academic conditions/criteria to be accepted for the scholarship.
