Applications are now being accepted for the Pacific Islands Leadership Program 2019 with the Taiwan Scholarship (PILP) (Generation Six).
Founded in 2013, the Pacific Islands Leadership Program with Taiwan recently hosted its sixth cohort, “Generation Six.” Based on a vibrant community of students of 122 participants from 15 countries in the Pacific region, PILP will continue to grow and develop.
Organized by the East-West Center, the PILP is generously funded by a grant from the Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (IDIA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Republic of China (Taiwan).
PILP is a center of excellence for the development of leadership in the Pacific region. The program links regional analysis of emerging problems in Oceania with experiential leadership learning and a commitment to practical action. They call this interlocking process “Navigating through change” and believe that the art of finding roads is a central leadership skill.
The goal of PILP is to build a network of leaders dedicated to shaping the future prosperity of the Pacific region by taking informed and effective actions.
