European Medicines Agency Trainee Program 2022

The European Medicine Agency Trainee Program is a ten-month program open to young minds. The fully-funded medical training program aims to contribute to the international agency with innovative thinking of young minds. The traineeship will help young people learn new skills and gain work experience. As a fully-funded training program, trainees will receive a monthly stipend.

Each year EMA offers a traineeship program. The fields offered are medicine regulations, life sciences, healthcare, chemistry, information technology, pharmaceutical law, human resource, finance, communication, public relations and information science.     Eligibility Criteria :

    Here are the requirements for the training program:

    • Applicants must be European or EEA nationals.
    • A fresh graduate. Applicants must have graduated in the past 12 months. This means you must have graduated between the application date and May 2021.
    • Applicants can be university students on an Erasmus or similar program.
    • Ph.D. students are eligible to apply.
    • Must know the English Language. At least at the C1 level.
    • Knowing other European languages will be a plus point.

    Application Process:

    • Before applying, make sure you fulfill the eligibility criteria.
    • Complete the application form fully.
    • Provide valid data and answer carefully. Especially in the ‘professional qualification’ section.
    • Applicant can use their candidate profile anytime to pre-fill any other application.
    • You can change the information in your form before the deadline.
    • To track the progress and status of your application, log in to your account anytime.
    • The EMA will contact applicants via their email.
    • EMA will pre-screen your answers. This is to evaluate your caliber.
    • Once an applicant submits their application, the assessments begin.
    • This will take two to three weeks.
    • Applicants who match the eligibility criteria will be invited for a remote interview. A hiring manager of EMA takes interviews.
    • Applicants can also be asked to give a written test.
    • Successful applicants will be sent a contract, and the program will commence in October.

    Application Process:

    • One must submit their application directly to the CSC using the CSC online application system. The request must be submitted and approved by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for which you have the academic appointment. The CSC will not accept any application that is not submitted through the CSC’s online application system.
    • Only one application per applicant will be accepted for these scholarships.
    • Supporting Documentation: You must provide the following supporting documentation by 4:00 PM (BST) on April 14, 2020 in order for the application to be eligible for consideration:
    • Proof of citizenship or refugee status; a copy of your valid passport (or national identification card) showing your photograph, date of birth and country of citizenship, uploaded in the online application system
    • Complete college transcripts and certificates detailing the qualification dates for your primary medical degree – uploaded to the online application system
    • Academic reference from the Head of the Teaching Hospital Department that describes how the acquired skills are required. All references must be submitted directly by the referees to the online application system (the referees will receive an application by email)
    • An endorsement from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in which you have the academic appointment that confirms your academic appointment sent directly by the Dean to the online application system (an application will be sent by email to the Dean)
    • Statement of Support from Your Proposed First Choice Supervisor at UK University Hospital – Submitted Directly to CSC (Request to Email Supervisors)
    • The CSC will not accept supporting documents
