Applications are now open for eMpowering Youth Across ASEAN Program 2020 (Fully Funded)
The eMpowering Youth Across ASEAN (EYAA) is a partnership program between the Maybank Foundation and the ASEAN Foundation. The program aims to alleviate poverty and improve the social and economic well-being of ASEAN communities through youth volunteering and social innovation. The program also encourages young people from the 10 ASEAN member states to take advantage of their experiences, knowledge and implement their project ideas and create significant changes for the local community in the Southeast Asian region. It also aims to develop the capacity of young people in the ASEAN region by providing tutoring, training in regional leadership and local community projects abroad.
The program aims to have a sustained and positive impact on the empowerment of ASEAN youth and the construction efforts of the ASEAN community. More specifically, this program has the objectives to:
- Promote volunteering, social innovation and ASEAN awareness.
- Create an alternative professional career for young people.
- Raise awareness among ASEAN youth about social causes.
- Improve the social and economic well-being of ASEAN communities through social enterprises.
