CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is now accepting applications for CERN Junior Fellowship in Geneva, Switzerland for the academic year 2022. The duration of the fully-funded scholarship in Switzerland is between 6 months (minimum) up to a maximum of 36 months. The CERN fellowship program is one of the best scholarship programs in the world. You do not need IELTS / TOEFL for the CERN application. There is no application fee and CERN will cover all the costs of the selected candidates. This scholarship program is aimed at graduates of universities or higher technical institutes in a wide range of applied sciences, computer science, and engineering with limited or no work experience, who seek to work in a research group.

Using the largest and most complex scientific instruments in the world, they study the basic components of matter, fundamental particles that collide together at a speed close to that of light. The process provides clues to physicists about how particles interact and provide information about the fundamental laws of nature.

    Here are the eligibility criteria for the CERN Junior fellowship in Switzerland:

    • Nationals of CERN Member or Associate Member State are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
    • Applicants must have graduated or they about to graduate in six months.
    • They must not have more than 4 years of relevant experience.
    • Please note that CERN Staff members are not eligible to apply for the fully-funded fellowship.

    CERN Junior Fellowship Program will provide the following benefits:

    • The employment contract of a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 36 months.
    • A stipend of about 5,239 to 6,506 Swiss Francs per month.
    • CERN’s comprehensive health scheme (for applicants, your spouse and children) and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
    • Depending on the applicant’s circumstance, they will receive an installation grant.
    • Child and infant allowances.
    • Travel expenses to and from Geneva.
    • Paid leave per month.

    • Most recent degree qualification
    • Recent letters of recommendation (three)
    • You can upload the letters at the time of application if you have them to hand. Applicants will receive a link to forward it to the referees to upload their recommendation letters. Make sure to submit all the requirements before the deadline.
