Eligibility Criteria :
Do you want to study in Europe through the CEEPUS Scholarship? Before applying, go through the eligibility criteria below to ensure you meet the CEEPUS Scholarship requirements.ย
Eligibility Criteria for the CEEPUS Scholarship 2026-27:ย
- Applicants must be students or teachers enrolled at an accredited university or college in one of the CEEPUS member countries.ย
- Students applying for a study grant must have completed at least two semesters of higher education.ย
- Applicants from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia are eligible.ย
- Applicants with a different citizenship may apply if they study or teach in one of the CEEPUS member countries.ย
- Applicants studying or teaching in a third country are not eligible if they hold citizenship of a CEEPUS member country.ย
- Applicants cannot receive a scholarship to study or teach in their home country.ย
- Applicants cannot receive another scholarship for the same mobility period and activity.ย
- Student mobility for Bachelor’s andย Master’sย studies cannot exceed 10 months in each study cycle.ย
- Applicants must fulfill anyย additionalย requirements set by their home or host institution.ย
Student Mobility:
- Applicants must be Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD students.
- The mobility lasts one semester (3โ5 months), and applicants must attend lectures, participate in seminars, and earn academic credits during their stay.
- An internship may also be included as part of the mobility.
Short-term Student Mobility:
- Applicants must be Bachelor’s or Master’s students currently working on their thesis or PhD students.
- The mobility period is 1โ2 months and must be used for thesis-related research, laboratory work, or academic consultations.
Teacher Mobility:
- Applicants must be university teachers.
- They must complete a minimum of 6 teaching or thesis supervision hours at the host institution.
- The mobility must last at least 5 working days and take place during the academic semester.
- Research visits, conference participation, or partner meetings alone are not eligible.
Freemover Mobility:
- Applicants whose home university is not part of a CEEPUS network can apply as Freemovers.
- They must obtain a Letter of Acceptance from the host institution before submitting their application.
