China Shanghai International Children Book Fair is organizing the Young Illustrators Competition for 2021. It was first organized in 2015 with the assistance of the Shanghai Press and Publication Administration. The competition aims to help new artists enter the world of children’s publication. The Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition is very popular, with entries from 77 different countries in 2020.
The Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition is accepting entries from 25th March to 28th of June 2021. Two golden pinwheel grand prizes will be awarded, one for a shining Chinese artist and one for a shining international artist. Other finalists will receive a golden pinwheel special mention and a people’s choice award.
