Young Global Change-Makers award

The Young Global Change-Makers award is open for applications. This program was introduced to appreciate the efforts of dedicated young individuals who volunteer in impactful initiatives in social services. Individuals who have put in some contributions in the social or developmental fields are welcome to participate in the award towards the achievement of SDGs.

This award aims to motivate young people towards bringing change in their local communities to empower local and international youth. The development initiative can be in any area, such as skills training, arts, culture, environment protection, education, health, human rights, well-being, sport, technology, Science, and many more. To celebrate global SDG week, the award ceremony will be held in the third week of September. The youngsters who deserve recognition and appreciation will be awarded.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Here is the criteria for the Young Global Change-Makers award:

    • The applicant can be from any region around the world.
    • Applicants must be between 18 to 26 years as of 01 August 2021.
    • Applicant must either be a current university student (or equivalent) or a graduate.
    • Illustrate exceptional social work skills or initiative in the development field to bring positive change in the local community over the past year (01 July 2020 to 30 June 2021).
    • Applicant must have a strong commitment to volunteering social and developmental activities for the next three years.

    The application process for the Young Global Change-Makers award is online; the website link is provided below. Applicants have to have the following documents/requirements on-hand while applying:

    • Description of your social initiative activities (maximum of 500 words).
    • The number of people influenced by your work, project/initiative.
    • SDGs that have a connection to your work/s.
    • Why do you think yourself entitled for this award? (250 words max).
    • What is the future plan for continuing social work and bringing more positive changes in society to motivate the youth?
    • Provide the LinkedIn ID.
    • You will be asked for more personal details in case of getting shortlisted.
