Opportunities circle is here with World Water Challenge 2022. It is an international competition for water solutions. The World Water Forum has been held in conjunction with Korea International Water Week (KIWW), focusing on identifying water problems the world is facing and their solutions. World Water Challenge 2022 is one of the significant programs of the KIWW 2022.

The main aim of this 8th edition of the World Water Challenge is to share innovative solutions and strategies to tackle the water challenges worldwide and to form a broad network among experts, stakeholders, and solution providers in the water sector. Keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 situation worldwide, WWCH 2022 has selected the topic “Water and Health” along with five Main Topics to create a possible pathway to overcome the ongoing pandemic. Moreover, it will also help in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Following are the eligibility criteria for World Water Challenge 2022:

    • Any individual who is interested in water can participate in the program.
    • Applicants who have participated once or more in the previous WWCH can participate in the WWHC 2022 but with different ideas. Repeated or the same content/ideas will not be considered.

    Benefits :

    This program provides the following benefits:

    • The winner will receive cash prize and trophy.
    • The best will receive up to 10,000,000 KRW (approx. $7,600 USD).
    • Outstanding will receive up to 3,000,000 KRW (approx. $2,200 USD).
    • Winners will get the chance to be invited to the WWCH showcase during KIWW 2023 or the Tenth World Water Forum to share their solutions with international experts.
    • If there are no qualified solutions for the “BEST SOLUTION” category as decided by the evaluation committee, then there will not be a year’s winner. Moreover, the award and prize money may change.
    • The final round of WWCH 2022 will be held during the KIWW 2022.
