The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs is looking for young people (18-24 years old) motivated to use their talents to help raise awareness and promote change for a more peaceful and secure world. In addition to young people interested in international affairs or international relations, people with experience in other areas such as history, science, economics, languages, cinema, media, dance, songs, theater, visual arts, creative writing or any other. Recommend that you submit a request.
The objective of this program is to bring together a group of eclectic and geographically diverse young people, from all over the world, who can become advocates for disarmament.
The ten young champions will receive training in general principles of disarmament, non-proliferation and control of weapons through online courses and a two-week study tour in person in Vienna, Geneva, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The study tour will take place in June 2020.
