UNAOC Fellowship Programme 2020 (Fully Funded)

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) is pleased to launch the call for applications for UNAOC Fellowship Programme 2020

The theme of the scholarship in 2020 is “Building peace in the era of new media.” Candidates must also be able to present professional achievements in these fields.

In its Action Plan for 2019-2023, UNAOC recognizes that traditional and new media play a crucial role in influencing public perception, narratives and attitudes and, therefore, have the potential to close cultural divisions. The UNAOC 2020 scholarship also aims to contribute to the global conversation initiated by the UN for its 75th anniversary.

To be selected, candidates must be able to present professional achievements in the fields of media, social networks and peace building, with knowledge of the UN system. The call will lead to the selection of a group of young leaders from Europe, North America (EUNA) at one end, and a group of young leaders from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at the other end. Participants from each geographic area will travel to the region of their counterparts for two weeks.
