Courses Offered by The Debate Academy
Course 1: Fundamentals of Debate
This 12-week course is meticulously crafted for beginners to intermediate debaters, emphasizing the World School Debate style. The Fundamentals of Debate is a fusion of enlightening lessons and practical exercises designed to foster confidence in both speaking and critical thinking.
The course begins with foundational concepts, gradually introducing students to the intricacies of debating. Participants will explore the nuances of the World School Debate format, learning to construct compelling arguments and defend their stances effectively. The course also imparts insights into using voice and body language to enhance persuasive communication.

This course emphasizes swift and effective counterarguments, rebuttals, academic rigor, research, source verification, collaborative strategy, and intra-team dynamics. Like the Fundamentals of Debate course, Debate Master is also structured to accommodate small groups of 6-8 students per group, fostering focused learning and individual attention.
