Applications are open for Short stay Visiting Expert Grants in Belgium. The mobility of short-stay visiting expert grants is an important condition for knowledge sharing and innovative research. Because of this, KU Leuven supports the incoming mobility of academics from established and future partners in the South, to work on issues related to global development. Within the framework of university cooperation with the developing countries, KU Leuven professors and researchers will be encouraged to participate in one of the following activities:
- Join a prospective discussion or prepare a new academic or research cooperation with KU Leuven
- Also, follow up on a new or existing cooperation project with KU Leuven.
- Do joint research (short term) at KU Leuven.
- Give guidance to a doctorate. KU Leuven student, for example, as a member of a Ph.D. examination committee.
- Also, he gives invited lectures at KU Leuven
- Attend the seminars, conferences, and other academic activities at KU Leuven
- KU Leuven also encourages outgoing mobility for KU Leuven teachers and professors who intend to take a short trip to a university in the South.
- Participate in the joint structuring and implementation of initiatives in the field of education, especially those initiatives that have a distance or online component (such as MOOCs)
- Preparation and improvement of structural frameworks for placement of KU Leuven students as interns at an institution in the South
