In 2015, the 193 member countries of the United Nations signed 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to “create the future we want in 2030”. Request the SDGs and your competition now!
SDGs & Her is an online competition for women entrepreneurs to show how they are supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through their business operations.
The objectives of the initiative are:
recognize women who implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including women who own microenterprise businesses;
increase knowledge about the SDGs and their possible impacts on women among non-traditional audiences; Y
collaborate with private sector partners in all SDGs, but in particular SDG 5; to share best practices and innovative ideas.
The 2019 contest attracted more than 1,200 participants from all regions of the world: sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, the Middle East and North Arica, Europe and Central Asia, and East Asia and the Pacific.
The competition partners are the World Bank Group, the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at Wharton School, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and UN Women.
