Scottish universities officially open applications for scholarships in Scotland in 2020-2021. The Scotland Saltire Scholarships (SSS) are a scholarship program offered by the Scottish government in collaboration with Scottish universities. The partially-funded Scottish Government Scholarship is available for master’s degree in the fields of science, technology, creative industries, healthcare, & medical sciences, and renewable and clean energy. The Scottish scholarship is for a one-year study program.

Saltire Fellows will also have the opportunity to join in a program of activities in addition to their studies, including a dialogue with the Scottish academic and business community. As one of our Saltire Fellows, you will act as an ambassador not only for the Saltire Fellowship program but also for Scotland.

    Here are the eligibility for Scottish Government Scholarship

    • Classes must be full-time and taught in Scotland. Online, distance courses taught on a Scottish university campus abroad are not eligible for the scholarship.
    • Be a Canadian, Indian, Japanese, American, Pakistani, or Chinese citizen (Hong Kong citizens are also eligible as it is a particular administrative region of China).
    • Be able to demonstrate that they can cover the cost of living in Scotland and the remaining tuition fees.
    • Not have previously studied for an undergraduate degree in Scotland.
    • Not have already received a Saltire scholarship.
    • Meet the language requirements of the course.
    • Complete an request form and submit it before the closing date of June 1, 2020.
