One Planet Fellowship:
Applications for the primary cohort of African and European scientist leaders geared up to make use of a gender lens assist Africa’s smallholder farmers to adapt to altering local weather.
Creation of the Fellowship was introduced on the inaugural One Planet Summit held in Paris in December 2017. Led by France’s President Macron, the One Planet Summit was convened to stipulate concrete steps by personal and public sector actors working collectively to fulfill the goals set by the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

The Fellowship will work to construct the capability of high-potential researchers from Africa and Europe to develop related, gender-responsive interventions in the direction of local weather change adaptation.
Inspired by the AWARD Fellowship Model, the USD 15 million five-year initiative seeks to spend money on 600 agricultural scientists by three rounds of open competitors. Selected candidates will take part in an intensive, non-residential, profession acceleration course of aimed toward fostering management abilities, strengthening scientific analysis abilities together with integrating gender into their analysis, and catalyzing analysis partnerships and networks. Candidates who full the three-year course of will grow to be One Planet Laureates.
