The King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment for achieving the SDGs is now accepting applications. It honors young people who strive to be effective and active citizens and contribute to the well-being of their communities and environment, as well as organizations that create the enabling environment and infrastructure for youth to make a difference.
This global award for youth empowerment is unique globally, and it reflects King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The King of Bahrain firm believes in young people’s ability to lead their countries, communities, and the world toward a faster-shared future of peace and prosperity for all people on a healthy and sustainable planet. All the King Hamad Award winners will be invited to the awards ceremony, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was initially intended as the world’s most ambitious plan to transform.
The awards are divided into two categories.
- The first category recognizes the role of youth in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
- The second category of the award recognizes enablers of young involvement, action, and influence for SDG accomplishment.
