KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Initiative in Austria 2024

The Global Leadership Program in Austria aims to prepare Korean and international leaders with the skills required to navigate the complexities of the fast-evolving world. The KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Program 2024 includes a combination of virtual sessions and an annual meeting in Salzburg, creating a global platform for knowledge sharing, mutual learning and exchange. It is an excellent program in Austria where participants can polish their leadership skills and gain new ones such as visionary thinking, digital literacy, cross-cultural communication, interdisciplinary awareness, global citizenship and collaborative leadership. The leadership initiative 2024 in Austria will allow leaders, both junior and senior, to discuss the global and local challenges they encounter and come up with innovative action plans.

Similarly, each year, the KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Initiative in Austria selects a group of 30 to 35 fellows from diverse professional backgrounds to participate in the program. The KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership 2024 theme is ‘Connecting technologies’ and leaders will explore the various impacts of technology and AI. They will engage deeply with the sub-themes of the initiative, examining key issues, trends, future prospects and their impacts. This program is full of benefits and all participants will visit Salzburg, Austria for the five-day in-person meeting that will take place from 4 December to 8 December 2024. KFAS will cover all transportation, meals and accommodation costs in Austria. Moreover, the KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership 2024 will also include online sessions and various virtual network meetings. Therefore, it is a fantastic hybrid leadership program and you must apply before the KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Initiative deadline. 

In addition, this leadership development program in Europe offers a unique opportunity for leaders passionate about technology and the use of AI. The KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Initiative 2024 in Austria will allow them to explore how technology influences economic growth, governance, societal equity, security, and environmental sustainability. AI and other technologies offer huge opportunities for progress, but they also raise important questions about fairness. The 2024 KFAS-Salzburg Initiative is a joint program of the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) and the Salzburg Global Seminar. Hence, it is calling all Koreans and international participants to apply for this leadership program in Europe.

    • In addition, the exchange program is seeking a group of 30-35 fellows, including 15 Korean nationals and 20 international participants.
    • Candidates should have experience with and interest in at least one of the program’s sub-themes related to Connecting Technologies.
    • Participants must be ready to deeply explore issues, phenomena, future prospects, and impacts within the sub-themes. 
    • The KFAS-Salzburg Leadership Initiative focuses on applicants from or working in Australia, Canada, China, EU institutions, France, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Nigeria, Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway), Russia, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
    • Applicants should also be available for the online on-boarding workshops to be held between September and November as well as the in-person meeting in Austria in December 2024. 
    • Moreover, those who strongly align with the Connecting Technologies theme are encouraged to apply, even if they do not fit all criteria.
