Are you looking for an opportunity to increase your leadership skills and knowledge? Then, you are at the right place. Applications are open for the Internet Society Mid-Career Fellowship 2026. The international fellowship program will help fellows increase their knowledge to more successfully navigate their team in situations of uncertainty and disruption. The Mid-Career Fellowship is a virtual fellowship and a unique opportunity for Mid-career professionals. Students must have experience, or they should be involved in the Internet space in a societal, technical, economic, policy, or other capacity. The fellowship will select 15 fellows with unparalleled access to world-class and top educational institutions and experts.

The duration of the Internet Society Mid-Career Fellowship 2026 is seven months. The Internet Society fellowship will take place from June to December 2026. The mid-career fellowship program is open to undergraduate/vocational/honors degree students, and they have at least 10 years of impactful and relevant experience. Individuals should be working in an organization or position that is addressing digital challenges or facing digital disruption and transformation. The leadership program equips global mid-career Internet champions with the skills, knowledge, and tools to enable innovative, inclusive, holistic, & strategic leadership.

There are five modules of this Internet Society Mid-Career Fellowship 2026. The fellows work throughout these modules, which include assessments and live lectures, and culminate in a symposium to present the work that they have completed. The Mid-Career Fellowship provides leaders with the knowledge and know-how to navigate volatility, complexity, uncertainty, and ambiguity (VUCA), knowing that their livelihood, purpose, and organizational goals are impacted or influenced by the Internet. The online fellowship program also includes seminars on different trends, such as digital geopolitics, advocacy and communications, and leadership in VUCA environments; it also provides practical case studies and cross-sector networking.

Eligibility Criteria :

If you are a student interested in an international fellowship, you must apply for the 2026 Mid-Career Fellowship. However, before you apply, go through the eligibility criteria below to ensure you meet all the requirements.

Eligibility Criteria for the Internet Society Mid-Career Fellowship 2026:

First, candidates must be mid-career professionals.

They must be in leadership roles, working in the Internet ecosystem in a policy, technical, economic, or social capacity.

Moreover, individuals must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in leading or managing teams or projects.

They must be currently working in a position or organization that addresses digital challenges or is facing digital disruption and transformation.

In addition, they have a keen interest in solving problems, working in multistakeholder & multi-disciplinary teams, and acquiring new knowledge and skills.

Individuals should be interested in making sure that the Internet remains open, globally connected, and secure and trustworthy.

Moreover, they should have reliable access to an Internet connection and relevant devices.

They must be able to participate fully in the seven-month fellowship experience, which requires approximately six hours a week (calls typically take place between 12:00–16:00 UTC).

In addition, they should be proficient in verbal and written English.

Lastly, candidates from Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and Asia Pacific (APAC) are strongly encouraged to apply.
