The Fulbright US Student Program Competition is open. Fulbright US Program works with over 140 nations worldwide, providing unrivaled opportunities in all academic disciplines to passionate and outstanding graduating college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals from all walks of life. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program broadens perspectives through academic and professional progress and cross-cultural discussion. In a complex and changing world, Fulbright makes connections. Participants in the program go on to graduate school, research, or teach English in another country.
Fulbright program holders will meet, live, work, and learn with the people of the host nation during their scholarships, sharing daily experiences. Individuals will communicate with their hosts on a one-to-one basis through community participation in an atmosphere of intellectual freedom, openness, academic honesty, and mutual understanding. The program promotes cultural exchange through impersonal interactions in the home, classroom, and during normal duties, allowing the grantee to understand better others’ views and perspectives and how they do things and think. Grant lengths and dates differ depending on the award.
The Fulbright National Screening Committee notifies all applicants by the end of January whether they were Recommended (Semi-Finalists) or Non-Recommended. For the final assessment, recommended applications are sent to the Fulbright Commission or the U.S. Embassy in the host nation.
