FIAS Fellowship Program

FIAS Fellowship Program is open for applications. It is a 10 months program held in six different institutes in France. The program welcomes intellectual scholars and scientists from the fields of social sciences and Humanities. All the disciplines of social sciences and humanities are open for application. 

Fellows can conduct research in any relevant field offered by the institute. In addition, research projects from other fields of sciences that structures a transversal dialogue with social sciences and Humanities are also acceptable in this program. Indeed, this fellowship program in Europe will give you a thriving experience.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Here are the eligibility criteria for the FIAS fellowship for international students:

    • Applicants can be from postdoctoral levels to senior scientists.
    • Applicant should have a minimum research experience of 2 years as a Ph.D. doctor at the time of application.
    • Scholars with Master’s degrees must have 6 years or more full-time research experience.
    • The program is open to all nations.
    • Applicants must not have spent more than 12 months if they have lived in France in the past three years.

    • Fellows will get into a scientific learning environment.
    • Fellows are free to organize their work and conduct their research projects how they wish.
    • There will be an interdisciplinary cohort of fellows.
    • Fellows will receive a living allowance of 2,700 euros per month.
    • Social security coverage for fellows.
    • Accommodation and support for relocation.
    • Research and training allowance of 2,500 euros per year.
    • Travel expenses to and from France.
    • This program is an opportunity to enhance your skills and train.

    Required Documents:

    • Complete the application form.
    • Updated CV with a list of publications.
    • Copy of diploma.
    • Research proposal (minimum 5 pages excluding bibliography)
    • Three to five publications, articles or book chapters.
    • One letter of support from any IAS’s local scientific partner. The letter support is mandatory for applicants of Loire Valley, Collegium De Lyon, Montpellier and Paris.
    • Two letters of recommendation. (Optional)
