    Eligibility Criteria :

    Candidates must meet the following criteria for scholarships with full funding at Harvard University

    • Applicants for Shorenstein Scholarships must be journalists, politicians, academics or policy makers working in the field now or recently.
    • The following guidelines offer more details. To know the detailed eligibility criteria, candidates can contact their staff to discuss further.
    • Journalist: Reporters, editors, columnists, producers, media and related business executives, with a minimum of five years of full-time experience.
    • Politician: In addition, someone who has campaigned and has been elected to a national or high-level state office, or communication professionals within politics and politics,. speechwriters, press secretaries.
    • Academic: also, professor or holder of a position employed in a college, university or research institution in political science, political communication, journalism, etc.
    • Policy developer: Senior officer in a cabinet office or advisor to a candidate for a national position.
      Applicants should not have participated in another scholarship within the two years prior to their preferred semester.
      In addition, they must speak English fluently: listen, read, write and speak. Non-native English speakers must provide TOEFL or IELTS scores.
    • In addition, they must be available to be in USA, full time, for a semester.

    • Scholars will receive a stipend of $ 30,000, paid in monthly installments at the end of each month during the 4 month semester.
    • Harvard email address and a Harvard ID that allows access to libraries and other resources. (eligible to work up to 10 hours per week) to work on your projects.
    • In addition, travel and living expenses are not covered by the Shorenstein Center.
