The European Prize for Women Innovators 2025 celebrates the women entrepreneurs behind Europe’s most ground-breaking innovations. The prize awards women from across the EU and countries associated with Horizon Europe whose disruptive innovations are driving positive change for people and the planet. The European Innovation Council (EIC) has been established under the international EU Horizon Europe program. The EIC Board guides the strategy of the European Innovation Council. The EIC European Prize for Women Innovators 2025 is open to all Women who are established in any EU Member State or country associated with Horizon Europe. All the women who have founded any innovative company and the company is registered at least two years before the European prize call. There is no specific age limit for the International Innovative Awards; only the Rising Innovators category applicants must be under 35. There are 3 prize categories of the international awards. The Women Innovators Prize is awarded to the most talented women innovators from the EU and Associated Countries. Another category is the Rising Innovators Prize, awarded to promising young innovators under the age of 35. The third category is the EIT Women Leadership Award, which is awarded to exceptional women leaders from the EIT Community.
The applicants of the European Prize for Women Innovators by EIC will be evaluated against 3 different award criteria. One is Breakthrough innovation, which means that the company or organization founded by the applicant is developing a breakthrough, disruptive, and creative innovation within the EU or different countries associated with Horizon Europe. The other one is Impact; this innovation conveys a real need or challenge and also provides significant benefits for the people or planet. The last one is Inspiration; in this, the applicant should be an inspiring leader who has played a vital or significant role in the success of the organization or company.
