Three awards will be offered for the King Sejong Literacy Prize and three awards for the Confucius Prize. The UN program offers various benefits to applicants. All candidates will have the chance to compete for cash prizes. The King Sejong Literacy Prize established with support of the Government of Korea places a strong emphasis on promoting mother language-based literacy development. Winners will receive a medal, a diploma and an award of $20,000. Similarly, the Confucious Prize established with support of the Government of the People’s Republic of China emphasizes functional literacy and using technological environments to support adults in rural communities and out-of-school youth. Each winner will receive a medal, a diploma and $30,000. Hence, offering many incentives to participants.
