Applications are now open for the 2020 Emerging Leaders Program of Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute Crossroads in Dubai, UAE. The Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program opened in 2017 as a joint effort between the GCC Harvard Business School Club, HBS professors Tarun Khanna and Karim Lakhani, and The Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute at Harvard University.
The first part of the Crossroads Program will be completely online and open to all eligible applicants. The Online Program begins on September 9, 2019. Selected candidates of the Online Program will be invited to apply for the in-person experience held in Dubai and delivered by Harvard teachers between March 31, 2020 and April 5, 2020
The Program is a prestigious and fully funded professional development opportunity for students from all over the world, who are the first member of their family, or the first generation within their family, to attend college and face challenges from financial and social circumstances. . After a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process, exceptional students from a diverse group of applicants are selected to participate in this unique educational experience.
The ultimate goal of the Crossroads Program is to create a diverse portfolio of future graduate students at leading universities, such as Harvard, and future leaders from a variety of social, economic, racial and cultural settings.
In 2020, the Crossroads Program expands to include more eligible countries and online curated sessions that will culminate in the one-week experience in Dubai that takes place at the Academy of the Dubai International Financial Center. The main members of the Harvard faculty will teach an extensive and multidisciplinary curriculum, which includes a combination of case studies, small discussion groups, discussion about possible professional careers and information on how to apply for Harvard.
