The headquarters of the United Nations Office for Development Coordination in New York calls the request for Communications and Results Reports. The new DCO assumes the management and supervision functions of the Resident Coordinator System (RCS) under the collective ownership of the members of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG).

The RCS encompasses all organizations of the United Nations system that deal with operational activities for development, regardless of their formal presence in the country. The internship is for a maximum of six (6) months and unpaid and full time. Interns in Communication and Results Reports Internships work five days a week (35-40 hours) under the direct supervision of a staff member at CRRS.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    • Computing in standard software applications.
    • He showed great interest in the work of the UN and had a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.

    Educational Requirements

    Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

    • Enrollment in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
    • Enrollment in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent).
    • Must have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation.

    Job/Internship Description :

    • Identify, research, write and edit content (text, photos, documents and multimedia) for online publication (website and social networks).
    • Maintain content on websites, official social media accounts and other official digital communication presences in accordance with established policies.
    • Entry and review of information used in data exchange and knowledge management platforms used throughout the Resident Coordinator System.
    • Creation and editing of infographics or social videos to publish in official digital media.
    • Contribute to strategies for more effective audience participation on digital channels.
    • Help publish content on knowledge management platforms and community of practice used by the Section.
    • Help optimize websites for search engine accuracy, accessibility, and performance.
    • Contribute ideas to projects to improve the reach of the official digital communication media, identifying opportunities to reach a wider audience.
    • Monitoring the use of websites and social media accounts through analysis and other statistical tools and techniques.
    • Media monitoring, fact-checking and related investigative work for stories from the Resident Coordinator System.
    • Maintain and update subscription media and mailing lists for the Section and help distribute various information products.
      Perform other related tasks as needed.
